Real money at Interactive Brokers·since February 18, 2026·unaudited

Six months of real money. Every decision explained.

meradOS is an AI trading system that has run a real brokerage account since February: every trading day, no manual intervention, a written thesis behind every order. This page shows the numbers the way an auditor would see them. Including the inconvenient ones.

The question is no longer whether AI will manage portfolios. The question is who holds the evidence when a client or a regulator asks.

  1. Spring – summer 2025Montenegro
    1. By hand, with AI alongside

Marco trades himself for six months. Models supply ideas, he decides, every trade is written down. The first rules come out of the mistakes.

  2. Autumn 2025 – winter 2026Founding
    2. Six months of engineering

Notes become a system: a multi-agent pipeline, failover across six model providers, backtests, paper accounts. Refined, discarded, improved.

    3. Real money, no intervention

$30,000 of starting capital in a real account. The system trades on its own, every order with a thesis. The rest of this page is the review.

In comparison

More return, more swing, little co-movement.

The account beat the broad market and the technology index over the same period, at roughly three times the volatility. A beta of 0.43 and a correlation of 0.13 to the S&P 500 mean the result comes from individual decisions, not from the market. On index up days the account captures 103% of the move, on down days 37%.

S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 via the SPY and QQQ ETFs, adjusted closes, no costs. The account includes real commissions and spreads.

Limitations

What the numbers do not say.

Anyone who wants to work with financial institutions has to supply the counter-arguments. Here are ours.

  1. Six months is short.

133 trading days are not a track record that holds up statistically. We call the result a signal, not proof.

  2. One day carries a lot.

On May 11, 2026 the account gained +26.9% in a single day. Without that day it would stand at +10.0%, roughly in line with the market.

  3. The swings are real.

44% volatility and a −14.5% drawdown are not a profile for core assets. The account is meant as a satellite.

  4. The curve is reconstructed.

The path is computed from trades and daily closes so that capital movements of about $24,048, which are not trading results, drop out. After those movements the broker balance is $17,797. None of this is audited. In a call we open the raw data.

The road

First by hand, then as a system, then with money.

Six months by handMontenegro, 2025

Marco sits in Montenegro and trades. Not with a system, but with language models as sparring partners: gather ideas, collect counter-arguments, decide, write it down. Every trade gets a written rationale before it is executed.

After half a year there is a log that shows which rationales made money and which did not. The pattern is clearer than any single decision. It can be turned into rules.

Six months of engineeringFounding, winter 2025/26

The rules become meradOS: four agents that scan the market every morning, score positions, build a plan and check it before it is executed. Six model providers with priority failover, so no outage costs a trading day.

Paper accounts run in parallel with different strategies, backtests push the past through the same pipeline. What does not hold up is dropped. What remains is one strategy that has earned the move to real money.

Six months of real moneyInteractive Brokers, since February 2026

$30,000 in a real account, no special treatment. The system trades every weekday at the same time, with no manual intervention. Costs, mistakes, idle days: everything runs, everything is stored.

The result is at the top of the page. More important than the number is that every order behind it carries a thesis that is still readable today.

For financial institutions

A complement, not a replacement.

Banks, asset managers and family offices have clients, custody and regulators. What they lack is a way to run AI-driven decisions so that they stay traceable. That is exactly what meradOS is built for: a building block next to your existing business, not in its place.

  • Runs on your infrastructure

Execution through existing brokerage accounts, today Interactive Brokers. Your custody, your limits, your kill switch. meradOS decides; it never holds money.

  • Reasoning instead of a black box

Every order carries a written thesis with model, confidence and cost. Stored tamper-evident, readable for client meetings and regulators.

  • The mandate is a prompt

Strategy, universe, position limits and cash ratio are defined by your house in plain language. The system follows them and documents deviations.

  • No single-vendor risk

Six model providers with priority failover. If one fails, the trading day runs on the next. Every call is billed to the cent.

  • One yardstick for everything

Backtest, paper account and real money run through the same pipeline and the same metrics. What you see in testing is what runs live.

  • Start small

One satellite account, clearly ring-fenced, its own reporting, daily snapshots. It scales only once the numbers justify it.

We will show you the account live.

Trades, theses, costs, mistakes. One hour, screen shared, no slides. Afterwards you will know whether this fits your house.
